Blind Eye 02:45
I’d do well to find peace until Lord provides what the Beast doesn’t kill I sing Oh Oh Until I dwell in a reasonable hell Are you my fantasy until I sing Oh Oh Until Lemme turn a blind eye so I can see!! While the Will climbs the steepest hill I’m surprised I could keep so still I sing Oh Oh Until Why provide other people’s fill? Time that I felt the evil thrill! I’ll be singing Oh Oh Until Lemme turn a blind eye so I can see!!

40 Strong 02:58
40 Strong: they used to be the Great Pretender’s Army. 40 strong they used to be, but now they never harm me. He’s not wrong; don’t choose to be cuz then he’d just feel sorry. 40 Strong: they used to be my Great Defender’s Army. 40 strong they used to be, but now they never call me. Run along! Don’t choose to be the bad guy in this story. He’s so extraordinary! He sez this war’s not scary! And maybe it’s not, but I never fired my first shot… 40 Strong, elucidate the ways ya just don’t want me. 40 Strong, you’ll loose the chain but never end the haunting. He’s not strong; he used to be but now we’re too disarming. (Aren’t we??) He sez this war’s not scary!! 40 Strong: they used to be the Great Contender’s Army. 40 Strong, it’s news to me, but then he never warned me. He don’t tell the truth to me: that all he feels is sorry.

Tenderheart 04:14
Tenderheart, you’re such an easy mark! Making sparks but we never wanted fire. It’s a lie that you could do without all those tender little hooligans who run to you. That’s ok! That’s just the price you pay. From the start, aim for a broken heart. Snooze ya lose! Best that you pay your dues; all the same young dudes are carrying the same old news Same old again… Get back what you wanted to keep! Get back the one you wanted to be! It’s sad to see your own mortality but you better stop making trouble for me. Simple math makes me laugh: what they take is what you lack, & in the end, the love you give’s what you’re not getting back! GET IT BACK! Tenderheart, you’re such a work of art! Not too smart: lipstick on Joan of Arc. Still, you say, that’s just the price you pay. All the sinners get the best parts in the Passion Play. Then they said, ‘There’s just too much of you! Too well fed to help but ruin the view.’ That’s your bad! (Best taste you ever had.) Nothing that a lil Photoshop can’t wash away. Wash it way!! Crimson clover, over and over, pure nostalgia will kill you in the end.

Porcelain 05:00
She’s like a sister to them. She parses boys from the men (-dacious little mixer!) (a thinspiration picture!) But there’s another blunder to mend, and now we wonder, ‘Whose original sin?’ Porcelain’s again. She’ll bite the bullet this time, she’ll fill his gullet, though commentary’s coming from other scary women. Decisions are no fun to defend! She’s torn asunder. Who wants a bestest friend? Porcelain again. Hey you…yeah! I saw it, and you’re never going to try long as you got the voice to cry, long as you got the lust for lullabies, long as you want the baby’s rockabye. Bye-bye She’ll wear a hundred hats! She’s proud to say that, ‘Sincerity’s a cinch for ladies in a pinch.’ She never asks to borrow a dime, dines with the whiners. Who has the biggest grin? Porcelain’s boyfriend. While baby’s just round the bend she wants to listen to elemental voices, make customary choices, and don’t you rock the boat that she’s in! We’re taking votes now: ‘Who has the thinnest skin?’ Porcelain always wins! Fine. You win. I saw it, and you’re never going to try long as you got the voice to cry, long as you got the lust for lullabies, long as you want the baby’s rockabye. Won’t say that she didn’t try. All thru the bad time: surprises for the kinder, a prize of toil and cinders; but when you got a husband to keep then princess has got to sweep underneath the rug a lifetime for a hug. The meek inherit nothing but this: a world of listless and dysfunctional functions, the known and unknown unknowns. Beatific and ready-to-wear, hush-hush and there-there: our everlasting friend, Porcelain born again. I saw it.

Caroline 02:44
Caroline, you must be joking! There’s a line that should be broken, but it feels so good when you’re around. It’s our secret when you’re feeling down. ☺ Caroline, you must be joking! There’s a heart that never woke up, but it feels so good when you’re around. They don’t see it when you’re feeling down. Better get ready… your fingers crossed… keep your head steady…! You’re old enough to know the difference, old enough by now. Caroline, you must be joking…! They’re alarmed now that you’ve spoken, cuz it feels so good when you’re around. Hit the ceiling on your long way down! Better to be silence than the last word spoken. Better to be silence than the last word spoken. Better to be silence than the last word spoken.

What did you mean by ‘love’? Love, love—are you certain that’s the word you’re thinking of?? Drowning in a wave of fun: you tell me that that’s acceptable, acceptable. Counting back from ten to one, I guess it was predictable, predictable. I’ll be draining all the blood that ever flowed cuz you said you felt invincible, in principle. Crowing all the big clichés; you read them in your poetry and so did she. This is how the west was won: a matchstick and a Marlboro, a Marlboro. All the pretty horses run. They tell me it’s so hard to find your heart of gold. I’ll be burning all the bridges that I crossed since I lost you in the undertow, so long ago. Washed up in a lawless town, you’ll win back what you lost out there: your faithful mare. Oh no! On the banks, Spanish lakes, you swore you’d never make the same mistake, but once you see your great escape, you never hesitate, hesitate!

Receiver 04:29
Hello, I walked a year of nights to reach ya. Don’t ring the alarm! I sold the family farm to reach ya. And you could turn me down, I’d still travel through the sound to meet ya. Cuz I’ve been around, and I’ll dig into the ground if that’s where you’ll be found. RECEIVER, I bet you don’t, I bet you don’t, I bet you don’t believe it when you see it! You know, I never was the kind to fake it, and we got along cuz nothing’s too divine or sacred. And you could nail me down if I told a lie so flagrant, but leave me alone! I gotta speak my mind if I’m speaking at all. My love, I’m sad to say that I won’t make it. But I met a dove and she’s as white as I could make her. And she won’t take you down, not unless it’s I who says to… but I’ll hold my tongue cuz I can’t pray today-- but every honest man gets a ticket to the Promised Land if he only sez, ‘war is over if you want!’ She’ll slap you in the face again, wipe the kisses off her only friend; just remember: ‘war is over if you try it!’

Dropping my anchor at the Skeleton Harbour, making my bed under the Enemy’s Arbor. It wasn’t my first & it won’t be my last trip cuz everywhere I go I walk the plank of the same ship. Join the line if you think there’s time, but leave if you believe it’s over. Make me, make me, make me sleep at night! You know that I’ll be coming cuz I’m dancing half the night! Make me, make me, make me sleep at night. I was so anxious, taking names at the party, measuring the ages of faces I can’t have part from me. If I get to know your ghost before your body goes under it makes the dream seamless when you’re waving from the other shore. I declined Paradise to bring you valentines. Make me, make me, make me sleep at night! You know that I’ll be coming cuz I’m dancing half the night! Make me, make me, make me sleep at night. Please leave the light behind when you go, or lead me through this dream faithfully like a firefly. Don’t leave me in the dark! Where’s the spark I been following? Please see me right before it’s time to go Please
